A seven-month stretch of rising employment remained unbroken as employers in Connecticut added 6,500 jobs in July, the state Department of Labor reported Thursday.
The largest employment gains were jobs in the professional and business services sector, while jobs in construction and mining declined.
The Connecticut Department of Labor has released the state’s May job numbers. They show that 1,600 jobs were added, and the state’s unemployment rate has fallen to 4.2%.
