SEATTLE (AP) — A man convicted of murder in the death of a 16-year-old girl at her Washington high school over 30 years ago will likely spend the rest of his life in prison. King County Superior Court Judge Josephine Wiggs on Thursday sentenced Patrick Nicholas to nearly 46 years in prison for the killing of Sarah Yarborough, who was found fatally strangled on the Federal Way High School campus in 1991, The Seattle Times reported .

A 59-year-old man has been convicted in the 1991 death of a 16-year-old girl at her high school in Washington. The teenager was found strangled on campus.

Patrick Nicholas, who was found guilty of first and second-degree murder with sexual motivation for the 1991 killing of a Washington teenager, was sentenced to more than 45 years in prison.

Sarah Yarborough was found dead at Federal Way High School school on Dec. 14, 1991, around 9:20 a.m.
