The deal will expand Choice’s portfolio in the upscale and core upper-midscale segments, particularly in the West Coast and Midwest.
The $675M deal involving nearly 700 hotels cements a split sought by the Trump administration over fears about China.
Choice will acquire its franchise business, operations and intellectual property, adding more than 600 hotels.
