Elementary school ditches Veteran's Day for UN-sponsored day
An elementary school in Redmond, Washington, canceled its annual Veterans Day celebrations in favor of recognizing the United Nations' International Day of Tolerance. The day was recognized beginning in 1996 with the United Nations declaring that diverse societies are becoming too intolerant, therefore nations need to invest in inclusion.
