Hampton NH names acting fire chief Michael McMahon after outside probe
HAMPTON — Michael McMahon is the new leader of the Hampton Fire Department in the aftermath of the resignation of fire chief Jamie Ayotte. McMahon will serve as acting chief until an independent study on the Fire Department is completed, according to Town Manager Jamie Sullivan. McMahon, who was acting deputy chief since the retirement of Justin Cutting in February, assumed responsibilities for Ayotte, whose last official day was on Friday, May 21.
