Big bass gorge on bunker out west, tautog and sea bass bite well off the North Fork, and stripers blitz in the south shore back bays on the east end.

The eastern Sound gives up double-digit tog, sand eels and bunker attract big bass on the west end, and the Canyons are fishing well for bluefin and yellowfin tuna.

Stripers eat sand eels on the western south shore beaches, blackfish season starts strong in the Sound, and larger bass move in around Montauk.

Big bass hit the south shore beaches from Montauk to Rockaway, albies reach the western Sound, and keeper fluke are biting as the season closer nears.

There is great fluke fishing as they exit the back bays, bluefish of all sizes span the north shore, and big stripers are caught in the Montauk surf.
