Workers of the JJW Group will be staging a three-day strike later this month.
Dozens of workers from the JJW Hotels & Resorts group gathered yesterday for a plenary at the Dona Filipa hotel in Almancil, and have decided to schedule a three-day strike, between April 16 and 18, according to a union source, for the payment of salaries and subsidies. In addition to the strike, the workers also decided to hold, on one of those three dates, a gathering at the Hotel Penina, in Portimão. ....

But one winery in south Portugal is offering a “Winemaker’s Experience” at which you can do just that. Quinta do Vales near Lagoa has made available twenty plots for you to cultivate, with prices ranging from €30,000 to €60,000, depending on the grape variety and the location of the plot. The additional running costs include everything from the work in the vineyard and the winery, to all the materials used. Quinta dos Vales will then hand the finished product over once it’s been properly aged, bottled, labelled and boxed. The only extra cost is shipping. ....

I had the pleasure of speaking with Steve & Heather, a pop country duo, who have been together for 35 years and whose list of achievements are well worth talking about.
Most recently they have been nominated to be in the final of the French Highway Awards 2020, and the winner will be announced on 12 February. Steve is a French singer/songwriter and producer, who played classical music and held the first prize for the Conservatory as an excellent pianist. Heather is American and was a professional dancer, and wonderful singer who showed rock and roll/ Country to Steve. Heather went on to do a masters in Musical Industry, leading them to do their first recording. ....
