KEMAMAN: Terengganu police has activated 190 standard operating procedures (SOP) compliance monitoring teams to conduct patrols in every residential area and village in the state to ensure compliance during Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations.
State police chief Datuk Roslee Chik said the teams with a total strength of almost 800 personnel would not hesitate to impose compounds, especially on house owners if they were found violating the SOP for Aidilfitri following the implementation of Movement Control Order (MCO) nationwide from today till June 7.
“We will also take action against individuals who return to Terengganu from other states without police permits,” he told reporters after inspecting the roadblock mounted at the East Coast Expressway 2 (LPT2), Perasing here last night. ....

Road users entering East Coast Expressway 2 advised not to stop at any R&Rs due to floods

“Currently, all LPT2 stretches between Kuala Terengganu and Jabor are still accessible.
“However, as LPT2 is connected to ECE, customers who have entered the East Coast Expressway 2 (LPT2) are strongly advised to stop at any of the rest and service areas (R&Rs) provided.
At the same time, they must ensure that they adhere with all standard operating procedures (SOP) in line with the Health Ministry and the National Security Council guidelines, said East Coast 2 Expressway (LPT2) business manager Roszi Ibrahim in a statement on Sunday (Jan 3).
Roszi said that various facilities are still available for road users at LPT2 R&Rs, such as at Perasing and Paka, including food stalls, restrooms, and surau before they continue their journey once the flood has receded. ....
