MURRAY – After months of litigation, Murray State University last week reached a settlement agreement with Paducah’s WPSD-TV over the station’s open records lawsuit against the university.
The Paducah Sun is publishing WPSD’s special reporting that ultimately led to its lawsuit against Murray State, as well as the developments that occurred during litigation, in a three-part series.
Attorneys representing WPSD-TV and Murray State University continue to discuss all remaining issues after Judge Atkins granted WPSD's motion for summary judgment.
Tuesday's court filing asks Atkins to award WPSD-TV $40,428.45 in attorney's fees and costs against Murray State, as well as $374,850 in statutory penalties.
