In this letter to the editor, alumnus Greg Jacobs expresses disappointment in the various shortcomings of Stanford leadership in recent years, particularly when handling high visibility cases of misconduct. He writes, "These are some of the more serious scandals involving the school in the last three years...So, I ask, who is running Stanford?"

President Marc Tessier-Lavigne and Provost Persis Drell wrote to the Stanford community that an open dialogue on unionization will be maintained while cautioning them on the gravity of the decision they each have to make.
