Phil Yoshida, who ascended to lead the Cal Poly swimming & diving program in 2000, will not return to the position, athletes were informed last week.
Stadden won the 100 butterfly (53.99), 100 back (52.81), 100 free (50.65) and 100 IM (56.47) to finish with a total time of 4:38.61 across five events.
Sources say Cal Poly's tentative plan is for former coach Tom Milich to guide the Mustangs through the the 2024 MPSF Championships.
“He will threaten, he will yell at you in front of everyone, and he will do everything but be nice,” one former athlete said.
The move comes as university opens investigation into verbal and emotional abuse allegations against the coach.
