Deer Valley district needs to 'do better' with harassment allegations
A pair of Arizona state lawmakers is asking the Deer Valley Unified School District to "please do better" as police investigate allegations of sexual harassment at a district high school. State Rep. Shawnna Bolick and Sen. Nancy Barto, both Phoenix Republicans, sent a letter to district Superintendent Curtis Finch that said the district needs to thoroughly investigate the allegations, “carefully review” its sexual misconduct policies and seek input from victims’ rights organizations.
