I attended a League of Women Voters' meeting last week ( October 16th). I may be have been dreaming, but people were mostly civil to each other. It was a refreshing change from so many discussions I've observed over the past two years. . . mostly angry shouting matches.
When Charity Dale walked into the Carson City Library on Friday, she was overwhelmed. “It’s so light. It’s so open. It’s set up so much better, it makes more sense,” she said. “Before it was so dingy, and now it’s clean and fresh. It’s so amazing, it gave me goosebumps.”
UPDATE: According to the Carson City Library trustees, Cyndi O declined the job offer Friday. The trustees will meet to discuss the additional candidates and will make a decision soon regarding the position. The Carson City Library trustees determined during the board meeting Thursday evening to offer the position of library director to Cyndi O.
