What are Wigner Crystals, and do they really exist? |

The groundbreaking confirmation of Wigner Crystals, theorized nearly a century ago by Eugene Wigner, marks a significant milestone in physics. Visualized for the first time by researchers at Princeton University, these electron-based crystals offer insights into quantum phases of matter and could lead to advancements in electronic materials and technology. This discovery showcases the power of theoretical physics and underscores the intricate relationship between quantum mechanics and material science. ....

Big Crunch Beta Functions: The End Of The Universe Is Closer Than You Think

It could be in a billion years, it could start tomorrow, but physicists have long predicted that the universe may one day collapse, and that everything in it will be compressed to a small hard ball. Like a lot of things, it just takes a little mathematics to conclude that the risk of a collapse is even greater than previously thought. ....

In there on occasion and now they could well reverse that in a way to threatened that they re going to go all the way to 90%. and i think that could be the escalatory move because i think the israelis and perhaps the united states would feel if they re producing bomb grade uranium, they would have to go after this we don t know that they ve they re going to take that step they ve always come short of it. the amazing thing about the uranian program is it s taking them longer to get to a bomb than any nation on earth. and that s been deliberate. they have been using this as a a political measure on on the lever here as well as one of physics, they are not real for the bomb. this could change that view thank you. i want to go rack quits my panel or second because you re champing at the bit to react to what he s just said. what is your reaction to that? so laura, first of all, the reason why israel responded is ....

SHiP sets sail to explore the hidden sector

The SHiP (Search for Hidden Particles) collaboration was in high spirits at its annual meeting this week. Its project to develop a large detector and target to be installed in one of the underground caverns of the accelerator complex has been accepted by the CERN Research Board. Thus, SHiP plans to sail to explore the hidden sector in 2031. Scientists hope to capture particles that interact very feebly with ordinary matter – so feebly, in fact, that they have not yet been detected. This group of hypothetical particles includes dark photons, axions and axion-like particles, heavy neutral leptons and others. These particles, which could be among the dark matter, particles, are predicted by several theoretical models that extend beyond the Standard Model, the current theory describing elementary particles and the forces that unite them. Although very solid, the Standard Model does not explain certain phenomena. The particles predicted by the Model – in other words, the ordinary matter ....
