Google has no plans of making a cheaper variant of its Pixel phone series. Google's VP of mobile business, Nanda Ramachandran, confirmed the same in an interview.
Interestingly, at the same time, Google has shown results in other markets, especially in Japan, where its Pixel series beat the smartphone market downturn with a five-fold growth in shipments to reach an all-time high share of 34% in Q1 2023.
