Merkt named Director of the South Dakota Art Museum Donna Merkt, who is currently the director of museum experience at Oklahoma City’s Gaylord-Pickens Museum and the Oklahoma Hall of Fame, has been named the director of the South Dakota Art Museum. She will begin her new position June 1. Newswise Donna Merkt, who is currently the director of museum experience at Oklahoma City’s Gaylord-Pickens Museum and the Oklahoma Hall of Fame, has been named the director of the South Dakota Art Museum following a national search.
