Plainville dialing back on watering restrictions. When you can, cannot water.


So when can residents do outdoor watering, and when should they refrain?
Under the less restrictive ban, residents may do outdoor watering with
hand-held hoses or oscillating lawn sprinklers attached to a hose on an
odd-even schedule, starting May 1. So, if you live at an even-numbered address, you can do outdoor watering including wetting lawns and gardens, and washing activities on even-numbered days. And if you live at an odd-numbered address, you get the odd-numbered days.
Watering, however,
can only be done between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. a time frame that not only avoids peak daytime usage hours inside homes and businesses, but also ensures water gets into the ground and not into the air through evaporation in summer s heat. ....
