A standoff that entered today 21 and joins the december 1995 shutdown as the longest in history. Yesterday saw protests around the country including washington, chicago, detroit, new york, kentucky, dallas and ogden, utah where the irs is one of the areas largest employers and three quarters of the workforce is furloughed.
