Schoolchildren should be given “brick” phones instead of smartphones to protect them from social media, Sophie Winkleman has said.
“Everyone talks about the House of Lords and the need for reform. The House of Lords is actually working perfectly well and doing a great job. The bit of Parliament that is broken is the House of Commons. It’s simply no longer doing its job of revising legislation.”
