Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities Essential Functions
Performs basic carpentry tasks including replacing windows, hanging and fixing doors, repairing tile floors and ceiling, and hanging shelves, etc.
Performs basic plumbing tasks including fixing leaks, replacing sinks, commodes and faucets, etc.
May perform basic electrical tasks including replacing switches, outlets, dimmer, clocks, and light fixtures, etc.
May perform basic mechanical tasks and preventive maintenance on electric motors and small appliances.
May perform basic maintenance on AC/heating system including replacing belts and filters.
May perform basic custodial tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.

Direction Received: Reports to supervisor of unit s maintenance section (i.e. Area Shop Supervisor, Plant Maintenance Supervisor, or Housekeeping Manager)
