The fixed-wing plane took off from Shreveport Regional Airport at 2:36 p.m. Sunday and crashed into Cross Lake about ten minutes after takeoff. The plane is owned by Pocket Jet LLC on Marshall Street in Shreveport. Phillips was the manager of that company. He was also CEO of Phillips Energy.
