Does this tell you? well, i think it is exactly right that the cdc and fda are addressing this issue of booster shots. we always knew that at some point boosters may be needed if immunity looks like it is waning or if there are new variants that develop that the vaccines that we have may not be as effective against. right now there are some individuals who may benefit from a booster dose. people who are severely immunosuppressed. i hope we don t wait until september to be able to give the people that the shots that they may night. and there is one step the fda could take right now which is expand the use of the emergency use authorization and to say that look we re not recommending booster doses to the majority of american public, but we re making this available so that doctors and in talking to specific patients looking at medical history, if there are patients that may benefit from the booster dose right now, they should be allowed to get it when we have so many doses in the ....
Be thinking about the booster shots that should come say in the fall or somewhere within the one-year span of time that you ve had a vaccine? the delta variant is very y wa because it is so much more transmissible and contagious and so people that are unvaccinated is more likely to contract it. but if you are vaccinated, we know it is just not with the mrna vaccines, pfizer and moderna and johnson & johnson, and you are protected from getting severely ill even if you were to contract the illness. so i do think it is important for us to keep on doing the studies because at some point boosters may be necessary at some point, especially for those who are immunocompromised or older. they may need to get a booster. we don t know that yet but i do think the studies are very important and in the meantime we need to spread the message that you should get vaccinated because it really works against all of the variants of concern. your family is like so many ....
