Cichon EDWARSVILLE — The Village of East Alton is facing a suit from a woman alleging she tripped on a broken sidewalk and suffered injuries. Joyce Smith filed a complaint Jan. 29 in the Madison County Circuit Court against the Village of East Alton. According to her complaint, Smith was walking north on Victory Drive in East Alton on March 17, 2020.
