St. Paul s WNS provides breakfast for Bedford first responders

St. Paul s Weekday Nursery School families all brought in breakfast treats for the Bedford firefighters and police officers. It was a treat for all the children who made decorations and were beyond excited to meet their Bedford first responders. The children stayed in their groups at their table as they served breakfast treats and eagerly waited to ask them to try what they brought into share.
The firefighters showed up to our school with red fire trucks and ambulances sirens blaring and the firefighters were very engaging with our young preschoolers. Lt. Bauman was going to show the children how they get dressed in 30 seconds, but asked if the children would prefer to see their School Director Mrs. Leone dressed up in turnout gear instead. The children s cheers won out for Mrs. Leone. After a wonderful tour of the fire trucks, they left the school with lights and sirens going and the children ....

CALDWELL, NJ For the final meeting of the council for 2020, Mayor John Kelley invited David Black, president of the West Essex First Aid Squad (WEFAS), to present an update from the squad s perspective of 2020 and their status moving forward. 
“It was a rather significant and impactful year for all of us and our first aid squad was very important to all of us, and we owe them a debt of gratitude, Kelley said in his introduction of Black.
Black began by thanking the mayor, council and Mark Guiliano, director of the Office of Emergency Management (OEM) for their support and noted that the  call volumes are increasing as people are becoming a lot more social.”  Black confirmed that the mortality rates are decreasing but “we are now taking entire family units to the hospitals. The hospitals are in a much better place than ....
