THOMASTON — Hunting is allowed in the Thomaston Town Forest once again after the Select Board reversed its prohibition of all hunting activity on that property.
Responding officers arrived to find seven approximately 12-week-old puppies crammed together in one crate, four older puppies in another crate and four other adult dogs loose and roaming the home.
Police say three family members face animal cruelty charges, and two of them were charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
Three people were arrested in Hooksett after police found 15 dogs and a child living inside a dirty, crowded home.
The New Hampshire Division for Child, Youth, and Families was called to the home. Fifteen dogs were also rescued on Jan. 16, police said.
