Well, we finally made it, guys. Season 1 of SYFY's Day of the Dead came to a thrilling conclusion last week and, to put it bluntly, it did not disappoint. Our surviving protagonists — Mayor Bowman, Luke, Cam, Lauren, Blackwood, and Amy — stopped Cleargenix, got revenge on Rhodes, and most importantly, prevented Mawinhawken from becoming the zombie capital of the United States. ...or did they?
With only one episode left in SYFY’s Day of the Dead, it’s now or never for the hapless residents of Mawinhawken and their zombie-infested town. Episode 9, “Death Comes to Paymart,” was a drama-filled installment that saw major players die and significant secrets exposed.
Something smells fishy in this week's Day of the Dead, and it's not the human tartar strewn all over the town. Even in the midst of the wave of death that's washed over Mawinhaken, there's still room for some foul play — particularly on the part of Cleargenix, and shenanigans stink to high heaven. On top of that, when bodies start to mysteriously and inexplicably pile up at Paymart, it ensnares the survivors in a game of whodunit that's got them even more suspicious of each other than of the zombies.
