Université de Montréal has been granted 19 of the research chairs submitted as part of the April 2022 and October 2022 Canada Research Chair Program competitions. The chairs are a testament to the University’s research excellence in a variety of fiel
Exact solutions are constructed for a class of nonlinear hyperbolic reaction-diffusion equations in two-space dimensions. Reduction of variables and subsequent solutions follow from a special nonclassical symmetry that uncovers a conditionally integrable system, equivalent to the linear Helmholtz equation. The hyperbolicity is commonly associated with a speed limit due to a delay, τ, between gradients and fluxes. With lethal boundary conditions on a circular domain wherein a species population exhibits logistic growth of Fisher-KPP type with equal time lag, the critical domain size for avoida...
The excellent official Brereton Report found evidence of 39 unlawful killings of Afghans by Australian soldiers. However utterly ignored by successive
There are 1.8 billion adolescents and youth around the world today—the largest in history. Yet the adolescents and youth that represent the world’s future—especially girls and women in all their diversity—continue to face major global challenges, and the ecosystem of stakeholders supporting them remains fragmented. “Girls Deliver: Pre-Conference on Adolescent Girls,” led by the Population Council GIRL Center and co-hosted by AFIDEP, AMPLIFY Girls, Baobab Research Programme Consortium, Children’s Investment Fund Foundation, Coalition for Adolescent Girls, Exemplars in Global...
