New Delhi, Oct 16 (PTI) The Centre has accepted the resignation of International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS) Director K S James and revoked his suspension for alleged irregularities during his tenure, the health ministry said.
The Congress party has accused the Modi government of silencing independent voices after the reported revocation of the suspension of IIPS Director K S James. The government allegedly suspended James for collecting data that was inconvenient to them. Although the suspension has been revoked and James' resignation accepted, the Congress party sees it as a face-saving move by the government.
