When I moved to Abbotsford in 2019, I would lament the lack of culture in the Fraser Valley, not knowing about the vibrant art and music scene that exists here. We cannot claim there is no culture in the Valley, just as we cannot claim there is no community at UFV. There are plenty of cultural events to take part in if you choose to get involved. Mar 10, 2021 11:12:13 AM Lautoka Hospital Consultant Anaesthetist and Critical Care Dr Ratu Mara Vukivukiseru became the first person in Fiji to get vaccinated with the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine today. He was part of ten frontline workers that were vaccinated at the Nadi International Airport. Dr Vukivukiseru after receiving his jab highlighted that having the vaccine is very important during this fight against COVID-19. Another recipient of the dose and Republic of Fiji Military Forces head of COVID-19 security taskforce, Major Neumi Vakadewabuka also called on all Fijians to register in order to be vaccinated. [image: Fijian Govt.] Health Minister, Doctor Ifereimi Waqainabete says Fiji is targeting to get 1.2 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine as they aim to vaccinate 600,000 people in the country. The first doses of the Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine were administered to 10 frontline workers at the Nadi International Airport today. Receiving the first jab, Doctor Ratu Mara Vukivuki from the Lautoka Hospital highlighted that having the vaccine is very important during this fight against COVID-19. RFMF Head of COVID-19 Security Taskforce, Major Neumi Vakadewabuka also called on all Fijians to register in order to be vaccinated. Doctor Waqainabete says they aim to give the first jabs to the 6,000 frontline workers which include health staff, airport and customs workers and members of the disciplined forces. ....
