US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen will meet Chinese Premier Li Qiang on Friday to cap a packed day of talks with officials and businesses in Beijing, as Washington seeks to steady the tense relationship between the world's top two economies.On Friday afternoon, Yellen is due to meet Premier Li at the Great Hall of the People, providing a chance to discuss the economic relationship, raise concerns and find opportunities for collaboration.

China's economic growth in the second quarter will be higher than the first and is expected to reach the annual economic growth target of around 5%, China's Premier Li Qiang told delegates at the World Economic Forum in Tianjin on Tuesday.

Premier Li said that global economic development will be supported by China and opposes any moves to hamper it, especially from the west.
