boyfriend carl to the prom because your mom, you wrote on your blog, didn't approve of this. i know we have a picture -- a preprom picture of you with your date and carl is in that picture to the right of everybody. but how difficult was that for you not to take him with you? >> it wasn't very difficult. at first when my mom expressed her adamant concern about taking carl to prom, i admit i was not very happy with it. we had a couple of very heated conversations. but after taking her situation into account, as well as my own, i realized that she deserved to get a break, and that my prom night, sacrificing that with carl, could really make her spring a lot more trustful and a lot more productive. while i kind of took a hit for the team on that, it was worth it. looking back upon it, i know i made the right choice. >> and what's next for you? college? >> college. i will be attending georgetown in the fall and i will be running track there.
