Christmas presents: the etiquette around regifting
Advertisement Hello, I trust you had a wonderful festive and holiday season! I hope you got lots of lovely gifts, because I certainly didn’t. I got a wooden salad bowl from Vanuatu, a wine cooler with no wine in it, a book by an author I have no interest in whatsoever, and a plastic cocktail shaker. Since I had zero intention of keeping these items, I immediately put them into what my wife and I call The Present Drawer, where we keep all the other gifts we don’t want until such time as we can palm them off on someone else.
