His mother, Teopista Nansubuga, who works in a stone quarry, says she raised Ssenkima on her own. “I separated with the father of my two children 10 years ago.  However, as a single mother, I failed to raise their school fees. Fred dropped out of school in Primary Five and we found a job for him as a herdsman,” the mother said. The kind-hearted children in the Model School, Enniskillen are supporting the Enniskillen Salvation Army Family Appeal this Christmas. The aim of the appeal is to ensure that no child will go without a present on Christmas Day in Fermanagh this year. It may have been cold and frosty outside but that did not deter The Primary Five children from the Model as they set off on their act of goodwill for the community. The children walked to the Salvation Army in Halls Lane on Friday to deliver all of the lovely gifts that had been donated by the school community.
