NEW YORK (AP) — Stories of race, slavery and the Civil War, real and invented, were winners this year for the Pulitzer Prizes.
Pulitzer prizes awarded to best in journalism from 2023 and also in arts categories focused on books, music and theatre
The other finalists were Shayok Misha Chowdhury’s Public Obscenities and Here There Are Blueberries by Moisés Kaufman and Amanda Gronich.
Playwright Christopher Durang will also be celebrated posthumously at the Guild's annual ceremony at Sony Hall.
