MASSILLON – Enjoying the warm sun, Kasey, Kali and Karmel rested on a red rug spread on the playground at Gorrell Elementary School.
Curious students pointed and oohed and aahed as they saw the visitors.
The black Labs were at the school with their owner Jeff Owens to teach fire and life safety. Gorrell wasn t their first stop; they previously met with about 120 students at St. Mary and St. Barbara schools. They would also visit Franklin and Whittier elementaries.
The Kasey Program, sponsored by Koorsen Fire and Security, is a philanthropic organization established in 1995 to bring safety skills to children in a fun and memorable way.
