Fire at Edgewood used car dealership causes $5K in damage

EDGEWOOD — Fire detectives have concluded that a malfunctioning computer processing unit triggered a small fire inside the office of a used car dealership in Edgewood over the weekend, causing an estimated $5,000 in total damage, according to the Maryland Office of the State Fire Marshal. An employee who lives on site called 911 at 7:56 p.m. Sunday after discovering the fire inside the dealership in the 2200 block of Pulaski Highway (Route 40), fire officials said.
