Finance and Public Works Committees Discuss Sewer Rates and Wastewater Treatment Plan

Spencer, IA (KICD)– The City of Spencer finance and public works committees met Tuesday evening to discuss a recent sewer rate state to help make decisions on the second phase of improvement at the city’s wastewater treatment plant.
Finance Director Brian Weuve led off the meeting talking about the importance of having these two conversations at the same time.
John Burmeister, Managing Director for Professional Facilities management, explained the the connection between the two topics revolves around the amount of water being used within the city which could determine what kind of work is needed at the treatment plant. ....
