MIFFLINTOWN – The Juniata County Commissioners convened in the conference room of the Bousum Building Tuesday morning for a brief business meeting. During the public comment portion of the meeting, Lisa Bollinger of the Juniata Valley Behavioral & Developmental Services gave an update on the department’s participation in the upcoming virtual Kid Connection event.
According to Bollinger the event will focus basically on elementary aged students. For this year’s event, a committee has put together canvas goodie bags which contain information regarding the well being of children’s mental health, tips on mindfulness, as well as coloring pages and other fun take home activities. “Just something fun for the children to keep them healthy and happy both physically and emotionally.” Bollinger said. ....
