The number of Florida homeowners who have so far applied for state home hardening grants has not yet exceeded the number who will receive the grants. The Division of Financial Services expects 140,000 to 150,000 applicants and only enough funds for 11,000 to 12,000 grants. They'll be approved on a first-come, first-serve basis.
