Certain public streets to private Motor Vehicles, reserving the streets as open space for recreational purposes. These closures were enacted in response to the covid19 pandemic. In may, 2022, the board of supervisors adopted an ordinance called the Golden Gate Park access and Safety Program that closed portions of John F Kennedy drive and certain connective streets in Golden Gate Park to private Motor Vehicles.
