Project Prom providing free formal wear for prom season
Apr 10, 2021 / 09:36 AM EST FRANKLIN, Ind. (WISH) – Johnson County Public Library is helping teens shop for formal wear ahead of prom season during its annual Project Prom pop-up event. High school students can take home donated dresses, suits, shoes and accessories — free of charge — at the Franklin Branch on Saturday, April 10 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, April 11 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. There have been over 800 attendees since the pop-up began in 2013 and nearly 200 teens found formal wear to take home in 2018, according to event staff.
