Japanese aid for coconut oil production project in Mullaitivu

Japan has provided a grant of Rs. 12 million for a coconut oil production project in the Mullaitivu District.
The agreement was signed by Japanese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Akira Sugiyama and Texlon Social Ventures Director of Operations Nadarajah Sendilruban.
The project will provide financial assistance to Vishwamadu, Thunukkai and Nedunkerni Co-operative Societies in the Mullaitivu District, which will encourage their members to engage in small scale coconut oil production.
