This week in history from the pages of the Loveland Reporter-Herald.

Where previously customers looking to buy guitars, amps, pedals, cellos, capos or any other musical amenity would have to hope that a local pawn shop or Downtown Sound, the record store that occasionally had musical equipment in stock, would have what they need, now there is a one stop shop on Cleveland Ave. with a pedigree in the business.

The people of Loveland have slumbered, slept and ignored that two men had taken possession of our town. Thankfully, we have had a rude awakening just in time. Our citizens have voted to never let it happen again. Now the illegal slum clearance money will be used for what it was intended, to restore the Pulliam Building and make improvements where local builders are employed.

Long-delayed renovations to the Pulliam Community Building will begin next month, after Loveland City Council voted to approve a construction contract to complete the final phase.

The city of Loveland's 2024 budget process has been complicated by the prospect of impacts from at least two ballot measures in the upcoming November election.
