Area Crime Summaries Man Pulls Gun on Shopper at Los Cerritos Center HMG-CN has learned that on Friday, February 26 at around 6 PM Cerritos station deputies responded to the Los Cerritos Center regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call. The preliminary investigation revealed that a female adult was walking in the crosswalk near PF Chang’s when a white Nissan sedan, driven by a young male, nearly hit her. When the girl reached the sidewalk she yelled back at him and at that point the young male pulled out a black semi-automatic handgun and pointed it at her. He continued driving in the parking lot toward at South Street. ....
According to a lawsuit filed against the fast-food chain, Karen Dhanowa and Nilima Amin allege Subwayâs tuna is a “mixture of various concoctions that do not constitute tuna, yet have been blended together by defendants to imitate the appearance of tuna.â Dhanowa and Amin believe they “were tricked into buying food items that wholly lacked the ingredients they reasonably thought they were purchasing,” based on its labeling, according to the lawsuit filed last week in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, CBS reports. “Consumers are consistently misled into purchasing the products for the commonly known and/or advertised benefits and characteristics of tuna when in fact no such benefits could be had, given that the products are in fact devoid of tuna,” the suit claims, noting that âindependent testing has repeatedly affirmed, the products are made from anything but tuna,â the court papers allege. ....
