Candidate omitted from ballot papers in Gwynedd and Anglesey due to printing error

A printing error has been blamed on a North Wales regional candidate being omitted from tens of thousands of ballot papers across Gwynedd and Anglesey.
The relevant returning officers have confirmed that the advice of the Electoral Commission was sought as a result of the error which saw Michelle Brown’s name failing to appear on the ballot papers of voters living in the Ynys Môn and Arfon constituencies.
Ms Brown, who is based in Staffordshire, was elected as one of the four members representing the North Wales electoral region as a UKIP AM in 2016.
She hit the headlines in 2017 after she was accused of making a racist comment about a then senior Labour politician and was banned from the Senedd for a week. ....

VOTERS are heading to the polls to elect a new Welsh Government today (Thursday, May 6) against the backdrop of coronavirus and debate about the country’s future relationship with the United Kingdom.

The people of Wales will go to the polls on Thursday, May 6.
While some will choose to vote by post or proxy, and others by visiting the polling station, they will all receive at least three ballot papers.
These will include a paper for the constituency, another for the region and a third for the Police and Crime Commissioner election.
Some, including voters on parts of Anglesey, will also receive papers for county council by-elections happening in their area.
