Connah's Quay residents thanked for making Christmas easier for struggling families
1/1 CONNAH'S Quay residents have been thanked for helping other families who may be struggling this Christmas. Gifts were given out over the weekend by the Quay Elves - a scheme started just four weeks ago by Mike Lewis. "I was talking to my wife about Christmas," he said, "And I just thought that we'd been ok throughout the pandemic. "But I wondered what it had been like for parents who might have lost their jobs or been furloughed. "I had the idea that we might be able to make things a little easier for them and I put a message on the Connah's Quay Facebook group.
