Austin orders quality of life study to gauge LGBTQIA needs, inequities
A city-commissioned LGBTQIA+ Quality of Life Study is taking the pulse of Austin's LGBTQ population in hopes of informing policy proposals crafted to address inequality facing the community in areas such as health care, housing and public safety. More than 600 people responded to the study's survey in the first two weeks after its release Jan. 22, according to the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Quality of Life Advisory Commission.
