The health of people on the move has never been so important, as one in eight persons across the world is a refugee or migrant – an estimated 1 billion people.Against this backdrop, the World Health Organization (WHO), the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the Kingdom of Morocco co-organized the Third Global Consultation on the Health of Refugees and Migrants with a goal of establishing enduring leadership and commitment for the health of refugees and migrants.
