maybe lower than it normally is, that maybe we just can t see them, can t shoot them. is it possible that they re that sophisticated? it really is possible. because a radar return off of balloon material, you re not going to really see. or what you get off the payload may look like something completely different. because a radar doesn t just say what it is. you say, hey, it s moving at this speed, it s this aircraft. a balloon barely moving, you may dismiss it as something as an aberration. this was the radar return we got off this balloon that we knew was there. oh, my goodness, here are some other times it s been there as well. and keep in mind, if this thing s flying at 100,000 feet, not 60, which is possible with these balloons. they can go up basically until they hit space. the ability to take them down is much, much harder at that altitude. and then you add into that that it could be carrying a
not just buffalo. it s most of the eastern half of the country. 70s in louisiana. and into tomorrow, more of the same. 55 degrees for buffalo. nearly 20 degrees above normal for this time of year. that means snow melt. that will be helpful. it s days like this, even through saturday, sunday and monday, we duoback down to the 40s for folks that are trying to clean up this buffalo, but we are thot back down to freezing. and much of the country is going to see a pleasant warm-up. we ll be well above average as we get into your saturday, sunday and monday. the one thing to note, it s quite utah right now. there s no precipitation. she s right. your satellite and radar doesn t show a lot of thinking. as we transition into the next couple days and into the weekend, we ll have some more rain. now there was initially a minor concern for some flooding. it looks like that will be limited. we re thot expecting a lot of rain in the buffalo area. maybe half an inch by the time saturday comes around
