An Alabama Senate committee has approved a bill that would ban classroom discussions of “divisive concepts" pertaining to race and gender.
Alabama lawmakers on Wednesday advanced GOP-backed to ban the teaching of so-called "divisive concepts" in classroom lessons and training sessions for state workers.
A similar bill stalled in the state legislature last year.
